Mission Trips Uganda offers internship programs within our organization in the Uganda. These programs are designed for university/college students before, during, or after completion of their studies.
All Internship programs are on a voluntary basis and are non-payable. A certificate and recommendation letters are availed after completion of the program. If your school has certain requirements, such as weekly evaluations to be completed by our overseeing staff, please contact us to make sure we can meet all the requirements your school has.
Work at the Mission Trips Uganda community church in Buwooya Village. Responsibilities would include assisting in conducting Sunday services, training local church leadership, and discipling leadership with in-depth Bible studies.
Education majors have the option to conduct their student teaching in Africa. Student teachers would be placed at a primary or high school and follow specific curriculum designed by the country. They would have the opportunity to bring teaching techniques and resources they have learned through their college. Typical teaching methods used in the U.S. may not be used in Uganda but could dramatically help improve students’ performance in class..
Medical interns would be placed at government and private hospitals around Buikwe or at community clinics. Responsibilities would include administrating first aid, monitoring vitals, and conducting basic health education trainings..
Working directly with the Mission Trips Uganda staff, this placement would work under the Operational Manager and Child Welfare Coordinator assisting with updating the children’s database, creating new children’s profiles, and participating with children’s meetings and mentor programs. This placement would fulfill requirements, depending on your academic institution, for courses of study in Social Science, Social Work, and International Studies..
Duties would include updating Mission Trips Uganda social network pages, working with the Communications Intern in Uganda to keep blog and newsletters up to date, assisting in marketing campaigns fundraising events. Graphic Design Intern: Duties would include designing promotional material, brochures, flyers, banners, and booklets.
You will have the unique opportunity to work directly with Mission Trips Uganda in this internship through its relationship with the safari company, Zuri Safari Trails https://zurisafaritrails.com/, which puts 50% of its profits back into the organization's programs. Responsibilities would include designing travel itineraries, assisting in coordinating safari activities, and booking accommodations.
